Thomas Koehnen is a third generation licensed home builder in Minnesota and Wisconsin.  After Tom graduated from high school, he earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota.  He has been working in the construction industry for over 30 years.  

Over 70 years ago Tom's grandfather, Harlan Koehnen, began a long career as a home builder and remodeler in and around the Twin Cities area.  Harlan taught his son Bruce the business from an early age.  Harlan and Bruce began teaching Tom as soon as he was old enough to hold a broom

Tom, along with his wife and family, have designed and built several homes in the West Metro. He also enjoys working with families to add on to or remodel their existing spaces.  Oftentimes he works on homes that his father and grandfather had built together many years ago.  As a small-scale builder he is closely connected to his work and he can focus on the details that will make a project a great success.
